Bhavani Deeksha Conferment: Indrakeeladri Draws Devotees in Large Number

Bhavani Deeksha’s conferment started today at Vijayawada’s Indrakeeladri. The priests conducted the fire installation ceremony, marking the beginning of the five-day Bhavani Deeksha program. During this period, Bhavani initiation retreats, Shata Chandi Yagam, Giri Pradakshina, will be conducted. The authorities have made all the necessary arrangements at Indrakiladri for the Bhavani Diksha retreats.

Special counters have been set up at the bottom of the Maha mandapam for the untying of Irumudi in the presence of Homa Gundas and Guru Bhavanis. It is anticipated that around seven lakh devotees will participate in the next five days, so all routine services at the temple have been temporarily halted. The Bhavani Deeksha is scheduled to conclude on the 7th of this month with Maha Poornahuti. To manage the expected influx of devotees from Telugu states, the police have imposed traffic restrictions.
