ISRO Prepares for GSLV F-14 Rocket Launch Tomorrow

ISRO is gearing up for another milestone as the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Nellore District prepares for a rocket launch. Scheduled for tomorrow at 5:35 pm, the GSLV F-14 rocket will take off from the second launch pad at the SHAR Center. The countdown for the GSLV F-14 rocket began today at 2:05 pm and will continue for 27.30 hours. This launch mission aims to deploy the Insat-3DS satellite, weighing 2,272 kg, into a geostationary orbit positioned 36,000 km above the Earth’s surface.

The satellite will provide vital weather data to improve forecasting accuracy and issue timely disaster warnings. It carries 19 payloads with cutting-edge technology to enhance early warning systems for natural disasters. Additionally, it will monitor both land and sea surfaces. Funding for this project was provided by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
