Each police station will establish five checkpoints supervised by officers at the Sub-Inspector level. The TS Anti-Narcotics Bureau has procured 120 drug detection devices for the tests. Charges for drunken driving may apply even with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 30 ml, leading to counselling, court proceedings, and potential fines or imprisonment. Driving licenses may be suspended based on drunken driving data. Criminal cases under the NDPS Act await those caught with drugs, with limited chances of bail cautioned by the police.
