The Billionaire Club Expands: India Adds 31 New Names to Forbes List

Forbes released its 2024 list of billionaires with 2,781 individuals. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani retained his top spot. In Forbes’ list of wealthy Indians, he stood as the richest in Asia. His wealth increased from $83 billion to $116 billion, making him the only Asian with a fortune over $100 billion.

Following Mukesh Ambani in the list of Indian billionaires is Gautam Adani. The number of Indian billionaires has now reached 200 from last year’s 169. With a record 813 billionaires, the United States holds the top position, while China is in second place with 473 billionaires. Compared to last year, India saw an increase of 31 billionaires, now a total of 200 individuals.
