Birth Anniversary of Chirravuri Lakshmi Narasimha Rao

Chirravuri Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, a Telangana liberation fighter and communist leader, was born in 1915 in Kaikondaigudem, Khammam city. In March 1931, on the occasion of the hanging of Bhagat Singh, he was beaten by the police during the protests in Vijayawada. In 1945, he served as the General Secretary of Andhra Mahasabha meeting held at Khammam. Narasimha Rao participated in all phases of the Telangana armed struggles and was arrested in 1950. In 1952, he was nominated as a Khammam municipal ward member from jail and won. From then until 1981, he won all the indirect elections as a ward member and was elected as the chairman of the municipality. He also won the direct election for the post of Chairman in 1987 and continued until 1992.

Etela Rajender’s Birthday

Etela Rajender, a Telangana state political leader and former minister, was born in 1964 in Kamalapuram mandal of Karimnagar district. He completed all his education in Hyderabad. In 2004, he contested on behalf of the TRS party from the Kamalapur constituency and won against TDP candidate Muddasani Damodar Reddy, becoming an MLA for the first time. He won as MLA in 2009, 2010 by-elections, and 2014 respectively. He served as the first finance minister of Telangana state in KCR’s cabinet. In 2019, he served as the Minister of Health. After that, he resigned from TRS and joined BJP on June 4, 2021. He won as a BJP MLA in the by-elections but lost to BRS leader Padi Kaushik Reddy in the 2023 assembly elections.

Birth Anniversary of Justice Adduri Seetharam Reddy

Justice Adduri Seetharam Reddy, a former judge of the joint AP High Court, was born in 1928 in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Alampur. He completed his degree from Nizam College, Hyderabad, and pursued legal studies in London. He served as a High Court Judge, Lokayukta Justice, and MLC. From 1978 to 1990, he served as a judge of the AP High Court.

Death Anniversary of Sobhan Babu

Popular Telugu actor Sobhan Babu, who captivated many audiences with his unique performances, passed away in 2008 in Chennai. He was born on January 14, 1937, in Chinna Nandigama, Krishna District. Sobhan Babu’s real name is Uppu Sobhana Chalapathi Rao. He particularly impressed the audience with his performances in Telugu movies. Sobhan Babu debuted in 1959 in the film Daivabalam. He garnered acclaim for his acting in numerous films and received several awards for his performances.

Death Anniversary of Sir Isaac Newton

Physicist, mathematician, and astronomer Sir Isaac Newton died in 1726 in Kensington, London. His profound contributions laid the foundations of modern science. Newton’s seminal work, Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, published in 1687, is a cornerstone in the history of science. In this book, Newton elucidated his three laws of motion and expounded on the force of gravity.
