David Warner Stuns Fans with Retirement from International ODIs

Australian cricket sensation David Warner, known for his destructive playing style, has taken the cricket world by surprise with his decision to retire from international one-day cricket. The 37-year-old, who had already bid farewell to Tests, announced during a press conference at the Sydney Ground. Warner, a prolific batter and former captain expressed that the ODI World Cup final against India marked the culmination of his ODI career.

Warner has an impressive record of 161 ODIs, scoring 6,932 runs, including 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries; he played a crucial role in Australia’s victories. His decision aims to provide opportunities for new players, and he will continue his T20 journey, eyeing the T20 World Cup in June and potentially the Champions Trophy in 2025. In his illustrious 15-year international career, Warner played 111 Tests, amassing 8,695 runs with a highest individual score of 335 not out.
