Ind vs Eng 1st Test: Challenges Mount for England as Third Day Concludes

In the opening Test against Team India held in Hyderabad, England exhibited their resilience. At the conclusion of the third day, England accumulated 316 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their second innings, establishing a lead of 126 runs.

The standout moment in England’s batting display was Ollie Pope’s century. Pope demonstrated effective batting against the Indian bowlers, amassing 148 runs from 208 balls, featuring 17 fours. Rehan Ahmed (16 batting) partnered with Pope at the crease. While openers Zak Crawley contributed 31 runs and Ben Duckett scored 47, the performances of Joe Root (2), Jonny Bairstow (10), and Captain Ben Stokes (6) were disappointing. Among the Team India bowlers, Bumrah claimed 2 wickets, Ashwin secured 2, and Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja each took 1 wicket.
