India Levels Test Series with Dominant Victory Over South Africa

India emerged victorious against South Africa in the second Test held in Cape Town. Opting to bat after winning the toss, South African captain Dean Elgar witnessed his team struggle as Siraj, Bumrah, and Mukesh Dhati collectively bowled them out for a mere 55 runs in 23.2 overs. The Indian batsmen, too, faced difficulties in the first innings and got all out for 153 runs.

During the first day’s play, South Africa, in their second innings, lost 3 wickets and scored 62 runs. The surprise came on the second day when Bumrah made a significant impact, dismissing Bedingham (11) and Vereen (9) in the first over. Aiden Markram, however, managed to score a century (106 off 103 balls), but the rest of the South African batsmen faltered, leading to a total of 176 runs in 36.5 overs. India successfully chased down the target of 79 runs, losing 3 wickets in the process.
