IPL 2024 Schedule to be Announced, Amid General Elections!

Today, the schedule for the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be unveiled. The BCCI will release the schedule at 5 PM on Thursday, live on Star Sports and Jio Cinema. It is anticipated that IPL 2024 will commence on March 22, with the opening match featuring defending champions Chennai Super Kings against runner-up Gujarat Titans at the Chepak Stadium in Chennai. The final match is scheduled to take place on May 26, as per the BCCI’s plan.

However, the full schedule for IPL 2024 will not be unveiled today. Reports suggest that only a 15-day schedule will be announced initially due to the upcoming general elections in the country. The BCCI aims to release the remaining IPL schedule after the election dates are confirmed. Further details are expected to emerge today. IPL and BCCI officials have assured that the entire league will take place in India, even during the general elections. Additionally, organizers are planning a grand opening ceremony for IPL 2024.
