New Rule in IPL 2024: Favour To Fast Bowlers

The IPL league is going to be interesting this year. Most franchises have had a turnover of players. Meanwhile, a new rule is being introduced in IPL. The BCCI, which had ushered in a new trend with the ‘Impact Player’ rule the previous year, is going to bring a new rule that will benefit the bowlers. Batsmen are entirely dominating the IPL; sometimes, a batsman can hit six balls in one over. For this reason, it seems that there is a rule of putting two bouncers in the over for the pace bowler.

Two Bouncers For Fast Bowlers

It is known that many seniors have expressed their opinion that the rule of putting two bouncers in the over should be brought. In the IPL format, where the batsmen attack the boundaries, the fast bowlers are allowed to use two bouncers in one over. With this, there will be an opportunity to control the power hitters. However, BCCI tested this new rule in domestic cricket. As it was worked out in the recently held Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, it is reported that it will be implemented in the IPL as well.
