Rare Respect For Sehwag.. Inducted Into the ICC Hall Of Fame

Former Indian cricketer dashing opener Virender Sehwag has been conferred the ICC’s highest honour. Virender Sehwag has been inducted into the prestigious ICC Hall of Famers list. Along with him, former Indian women’s team captain Diana Edulji and Sri Lankan legend Aravinda D’Silva have earned this honour. The ICC announced on Twitter (X) that these three will be inducted into the Hall of Fame list. However, he became the eighth Indian cricketer in history to enter the ICC Hall of Fame before Sunil Gavaskar, Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Vinoo Mankad.

Feeling Proud: Sehwag

Proud to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. Sehwag said that he is thankful to the ICC and the jury members. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Virender Sehwag represented India in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs, and 19 T20Is between 1999 and 2013 and scored 18,641 runs. He has 38 centuries and 72 half-centuries. Sehwag, who is also a part-time spinner, has taken 136 wickets in his career.
