Record Attendance For World Cup 2023.. Who Holds Previous Record?

ODI World Cup 2023 held in India has achieved a record. The tournament has set an all-time record for the highest attendance in stadiums. Out of the 13 ODI World Cup tournaments that have been held so far, this tournament was the most attended. ICC announced that 12,50,307 people watched the latest World Cup in stadiums. A record of 92,453 people attended the final match. This World Cup tournament was held between October 5 and November 19. The tournament consists of 45 league matches, two semis and one final match. These matches were held in 10 venues in India.

Broken 2011 Record

Earlier, 6,72,000 people watched the World Cup of 2007. In 2003, 6,26,845 people watched in the stadiums. In the 2019 World Cup hosted by England, England won the tournament against New Zealand. This tournament was watched by 7,52,000 people in stadiums. The World Cup of 2015 was watched by 10,16,420 people. This World Cup was held jointly by Australia and New Zealand, and under the leadership of Michael Clarke, Australia defeated New Zealand and became the world champion for the fifth time. The final match of 2015 was watched by 93,013 people.

The 2011 World Cup was a memorable tournament for Indian cricket fans. India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka hosted this tournament. In the final, India under Dhoni’s captaincy defeated Sri Lanka and won the World Cup for the second time. As far as the World Cup 2011 tournament is concerned, 12,29,826 people watched it. Now, the World Cup 2023 tournament has broken the previous record of World Cup 2011. The 2023 World Cup tournament was watched by 12,50,307 people.
