AP Elections: 55% Vote Share for YSRCP in Postal Ballots!

In the Andhra Pradesh elections, this time the YSRCP juggernaut is set to flourish right from the postal ballot voting stage. Government employees and teachers statewide have placed their full trust in Jagan. They express confidence that their lives would improve significantly if Jagan were to become Chief Minister once again. Therefore, they have cast their votes in postal ballots for the YSRCP. Even the employees themselves are openly discussing this. Postal ballot voting commenced on Saturday morning and continued until 4 PM on Sunday. Around five lakh government employees, including teachers on election duty in various departments and divisions, exercised their voting rights through postal ballots.

All Employees Rally Behind YSRCP

It is noteworthy that the majority of postal ballot votes have reportedly been cast in favour of the ruling YSR Congress party, accounting for over 55 percent of the votes. Party leaders are convinced that all employees in the secretariat have overwhelmingly supported the YSRCP. State employees believe that Jagan’s Guaranteed Pension Scheme (GPS) will benefit them, hence their expression of confidence in garnering a substantial number of votes. Leaders attribute the YSRCP’s effective poll management as the reason behind their majority in postal ballots.

Chandrababu in a State of Shock!

These developments have left TDP chief Chandrababu quite dismayed. It’s worth mentioning that government employees never had faith in Chandrababu. During his tenure from 2014 to 2019, he often neglected the employees, questioning even their salaries. This attitude was openly criticized by the employees. It’s believed that employees still remember these instances, leading them to hesitate in voting for the TDP. Additionally, Chandrababu hasn’t made any promises in this election to benefit government employees. Even if Chandrababu were to implement the Super Six schemes he’s talking about, it’s speculated that the entire state budget wouldn’t suffice. Therefore, there’s concern among employees that if Chandrababu wins, all funds will be diverted to these schemes, leaving them with little hope of receiving their actual salaries.
