Jagananna Vidya Deevena Success Fuels Massive Job Opportunities in AP
The Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme, aimed at supporting underprivileged students in pursuing higher education, has achieved massive success. The government covers 100% of students’ fees and provides opportunities for free skill training and internships with leading institutions after completion of studies. This initiative, spearheaded by CM YS Jagan, reflects a commitment to prioritize education and implement significant changes in the AP education system.
The impact of this scheme extends beyond engineering courses, encompassing all degree programs to enhance students’ job prospects. Over 30 world-class organizations and more than 27,000 industries are connected with colleges to offer internships across various courses, benefitting around 10 lakh students. Andhra Pradesh leads the nation in providing future skills, establishing skill development colleges in each constituency to create a workforce equipped with skills tailored to industry needs. This focus on skill development has contributed to Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leading state for youth employment.

The state has witnessed substantial growth in employment resources, with placements increasing from 37,000 in 2018-19 to 1.80 lakh, solidifying Andhra Pradesh’s status as a prominent state in improving employment prospects for its youth.
