YSRCP has revealed candidates for two more seats

Last night, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the latest list of YSRCP MLA candidates, focusing on performance and public engagement for governance continuity. Incumbents with poor performance are being denied tickets, while adjustments are made elsewhere. Emphasis is placed on leaders actively connected with the public. This approach has been consistent across all lists released by CM Jagan so far.

No chance for Mahidhar Reddy

In the recent announcement of the seventh list for the joint Prakasam district, only two candidates have been named as in-charges. Aravinda Yadav, daughter of Penchalayya, who recently joined the party, received the ticket instead of the current Maheedhar Reddy Manugunta from Kandukur. Additionally, Yadam Balaji from Chirala was appointed as the in-charge of Parchoor, replacing Amanchi Krishna Mohan. Balaji, who ran as an independent candidate in the 2014 elections for YSRCP but lost, later joined TDP in 2019 after not receiving a ticket. However, he has since distanced himself from TDP. Balaji, who was residing in America, recently returned to India and rejoined YSRCP, securing the latest ticket.

Amidst the current scenario, there’s speculation on Amanchi Krishna Mohan’s candidacy. Initially, Amanchi preferred not to contest in Parchoor and aimed for Chirala instead. However, when sitting MLA Karanam Balaram proposed his son Venkatesh for the Chirala seat, Venkatesh was appointed as the in-charge. Now, Amanchi is also eyeing the Chirala seat, raising questions about the leadership’s decision between Venkatesh and Amanchi.
