BJP Welcomes Tamilisai Soundararajan Back into the Fold for Upcoming Elections

Recently, Tamilisai Soundararajan, who resigned from the position of Telangana Governor, rejoined the BJP. Under the leadership of Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai and in the presence of Union Minister Kishan Reddy, she donned the BJP shawl and joined the party. Tamilisai has previously served as the Chief of Tamil Nadu BJP and has been a leader in the BJP for the past 20 years.

However, in 2019, the central government appointed her as the Governor of Telangana, and she has been serving as the Governor here for the past five years. She resigned from the Governor’s position to help the BJP win the maximum number of seats in Tamil Nadu in the parliamentary elections and has re-entered politics today.

She mentioned that she resigned from the Governor’s position because she wanted to engage directly in politics and focus entirely on public issues. She expressed her preference for working directly among the people rather than leading a luxurious life. Tamilisai said that the public should understand why she chose to return to active politics, leaving behind the comforts of her previous position.

Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that she intends to contest in elections, which is why she rejoined the BJP. Despite the comforts provided to her as a Governor, she chose to resign from the position without any hesitation. She expressed strong confidence that the BJP would flourish in Tamil Nadu in the coming days.
