Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren: Breaking Silence, Meets MLAs

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, facing money laundering charges in connection with a land scam, has emerged from seclusion and held a meeting in Ranchi with ministers and JMM MLAs, including his wife Kalpana. Speculations regarding his situation have sparked discussions, leading to the imposition of Section 144 by the police at Soren’s residence, Raj Bhavan, and the ED office.

The Enforcement Directorate appears ready to arrest him, having found evidence. Soren, who initially disappeared after visiting his residence in Delhi, is now under scrutiny. ED officials conducted searches at his residence, seizing assets and documents. Soren has invited ED officials to his Ranchi residence on the 31st of this month, but he was not present when they arrived, leading to criticism and accusations from BJP leaders. A reward of ₹11,000 has been announced for information about Soren’s whereabouts.
