Bhimsen Joshi, known for his ‘Kirana Gharana’ style in Hindustani classical music, was born on February 4, 1922. He received prestigious awards like the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Maharashtra Bhushan, Karnataka Ratna, and the Bharat Ratna. Joshi passed away on January 24, 2011.

Satyendra Nath Bose’s Death Anniversary

Mathematician and physicist Satyendra Nath Bose, born on January 1, 1894, passed away on February 4, 1974. He collaborated with Einstein and made significant contributions to quantum mechanics. Bose was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1956 and received the Padma Vibhushan in 1954.

Madabhushi Ananthasayanam Ayyangar Jayanti
