Former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah’s Birthday (15 February 1944)

Ponnala Lakshmaiah is a prominent politician from Telangana. He was not only elected to the Legislative Assembly 4 times from the Janagama constituency but also served as a minister under four Chief Ministers. He was appointed as the first president of Telangana PCC on March 11, 2014. However, he resigned from the Congress party on October 13 as he did not get a ticket from Janagama in the 2023 elections. Later, he joined the BRS in the presence of KCR at the BRS Praja Ashirwada Sabha held on October 16.

The Success of the PSLV-C37 Rocket

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) created a world record for launching satellites in 2017. The PSLV-C37 rocket successfully launched 104 satellites belonging to seven countries on February 15 2017. ISRO successfully launched 104 satellites including Cartosat-2 on PSLV-C37 from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.

Actress Meera Jasmine’s Birthday

Meera Jasmine was born on February 15, 1982. She has earned many fans with her acting. Apart from Telugu, she acted in Tamil and Malayalam films. She won the National Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Malayalam film Padam Onnu: Oru Vilapam in 2004. She has acted in many Telugu films such as Bhadra, Gudumba Shankar and Gorintaku.

Astronomer Galileo Galilei’s Birth Anniversary (1564 February 15 – 1642 January 8)

Italian scientist Galileo Galilei invented the telescope to see distant objects. At first, it was possible to see objects up to 50 miles away. This made it possible to see any object 8 times larger. With its help, Galileo did a lot of research in space and provided valuable information. Galileo was born on February 15, 1564, in Pisa, Italy.
