Securing a triumph by 106 runs, India claimed victory over England in the second Test held at Visakhapatnam. India achieved a lead of 399 runs in their innings against England’s 292 runs. With this leveling the five-match Test series at 1-1 decisive victory.

In the pursuit of India’s target of 399 runs, England made an impressive start, with Zak Crawley scoring 73 and Ben Duckett contributing 28. The opening duo formed a solid partnership of 50 runs for the first wicket. Ashwin stepped in, putting an end to the threatening partnership. Duckett went back to the pavilion, giving India a vital breakthrough. Later, when Rehan Ahmed (23) took over as the night watchman, he seamlessly joined Crawley, adding 45 runs for the second wicket without any trouble. He posed a challenge to the Indian bowlers with his aggressive play but was bowled out by Axar Patel. He was sent back to the pavilion via a well-executed LBW delivery. Following that, the duo of Bumrah and Ashwin orchestrated England’s decline.
