Disarray in TDP Alliance: Missing Photograph of Modi in Manifesto Event

The TDP, Janasena, and BJP alliance is facing hiccups right from the beginning. Chief Minister Jagan’s assertion that this alliance is merely opportunistic and self-serving, and won’t last long, seems to be proving true. Today, in Undavalli, Guntur district, the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance has unveiled a joint manifesto. Yet, these underlying differences have once again surfaced at this gathering. The banners at the venue only displayed photos of Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan, with no sign of Narendra Modi or Purandeswari. This indirectly signals that Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are suggesting that BJP holds no significance in the alliance. This development has become a topic of widespread discussion across the state.

However, many political analysts speculate that Chandrababu’s strategy is behind this. TDP and Janasena have long been discontented with BJP. Chandrababu anticipated criticism of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy from Prime Minister Modi or central BJP leaders, which he could use to tarnish YSRCP’s image. Yet, BJP’s leadership has remained silent on Jagan’s case. Modi refrained from criticizing CM Jagan during the recent alliance meeting. Looking at YSRCP’s progress in the state, it’s unlikely any national leader will criticize it, explaining Modi’s silence on Jagan. However, Chandrababu is displeased with this situation, leading to reports that Modi’s photo was omitted from the manifesto platform.

Despite contesting together in the elections, the internal dynamics of the TDP, BJP, and Janasena alliance reveal significant discontent. Incidents such as clashes over ticket allocation indicate the strained relationships within the alliance. With this recent turn of events, it’s clear to the people of the state what the unity of the alliance truly amounts to.
