TDP Alliance Sensing Defeat? Diminished Enthusiasm in Leaders Suggests So

Is the TDP alliance in fear of their impending defeat? Have those leaders realized that winning this election will be an uphill tax no matter what they do? Is that why they are stepping back from the campaign? It certainly seems that way. Elections are just two weeks away. While the ruling YSRCP is campaigning vigorously with the slogan ‘Why not 175?’ the TDP alliance appears to be grappling with deep despair and disillusionment. It appears that TDP leaders like Lavu Krishna Devarayalu have advised their cadre against spending campaign funds on what seems like a lost cause. Additionally, it’s been reported that Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah have been briefed by intelligence agencies about the likelihood of YCP winning once again and coming to power.

‘Telugu brothers’ are betting heavily on YSRCP’s victory!

The confidence that TDP leaders had in January about winning the elections is nowhere to be found. Hence, even the “Telugu brothers”, who were betting heavily on TDP’s victory until recently at the rate of 1:3, have now switched sides. They are now confident that YSRCP will emerge victorious. The ground realities seem to support this sentiment. YSRCP flags and crowds dominate the landscape across the state, with Chandrababu and Pawan being the only visible campaigners in the alliance.

Chandrababu and Pawan are feeling the pressure

While CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘Memantha Siddham’ bus yatra attracted crowds in the lakhs until yesterday, the ‘Prajagalam’ meetings jointly organized by TDP and Janasena had to be called off due to poor attendance. These developments are keeping TDP chief Chandrababu and Janasena’s Pawan Kalyan awake at night. Faced with the fear of defeat, leaders of the ruling party are resorting to false propaganda against YSRCP, unsure of what else to do.
