ZPM Party: Lalduhoma Sworn In As Mizoram Chief Minister

A new government has been formed in Mizoram state. Lalduhoma of ZPM (Zoram People’s Movement Party) was sworn in as the 9th Chief Minister of that state. To this extent, Governor Dr. Kambhampati Haribabu administered the oath to him at Raj Bhavan. Some of the MLAs who won along with him were sworn in as ministers of that party. It is special that former Chief Minister Zoramthanga is coming to this program. Earlier, the leaders of the party elected Lalduhoma as the president and K. Sapdanga as the vice president.

IPS To CM

The ZPM party which won only 8 seats in the 2018 elections, set a record by winning 27 seats out of 40 seats in the assembly elections held on November 7, 2023. Meanwhile, Lalduhoma, who took charge as CM, started his career as an IPS officer. He has worked as an IPS officer in Goa and Delhi. Later, he also worked as the security in-charge officer of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Finally, he entered politics and was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time in 1984.
