Congress Tweets on KCR’s Governance, Highlights 5,304 Farmer Suicides

Parliamentary elections are approaching in Telangana, setting the stage for a verbal battle between ruling and opposition parties. KCR has been touring various regions to understand the issues faced by farmers and subsequently launched severe criticisms against the Congress party. On one hand, the BRS accuses Congress of neglecting crops, while on the other, the Congress alleges that farmer suicides have increased during the BRS regime. In this context, T Congress has taken to Twitter to criticize KCR’s governance.

The Congress party has accused Telangana state of being fourth in the country in terms of farmer suicides in 2022. They questioned KCR, who claims there have been no suicides during the BRS’s ten-year rule, on his response to this accusation. They criticized that there should be a limit even to lying, accusing KCR of deceiving the people of Telangana with lies for a decade, which is why they were defeated and relegated to the opposition. They advised that it was time to stop lying and, as the opposition, come to the assembly to raise issues on behalf of the people.

In their political tweet, the Congress party accused KCR of deceiving farmers and the people of Telangana for personal political gains, urging him not to betray them for selfish reasons. They attached a news clipping that revealed a report from the State Police Department and the National Crime Records Bureau, stating that there have been 5,304 farmer suicides in the state over the last seven years.
