Coalition Concerned Over YSRCP Manifesto, CM Jagan to Finalize Soon

The election manifesto for the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh is nearly finalized. As part of this, a meeting chaired by CM Jagan, the party leader, is scheduled for today. During this meeting, key party leaders are set to engage in extensive discussions on the manifesto, particularly focusing on the strategies to be implemented in North Andhra. The party cadres have indicated that the discussion will also cover the manifesto’s key points. After the meeting, CM Jagan is expected to finalize the manifesto and preparations are underway to release it within the next two or three days. CM YS Jagan has already conducted readiness meetings in four regions and is currently leading a bus tour named ‘Memanth Siddham’, which is scheduled to conclude on the 24th.

t is indicated that the YSR Congress Party’s manifesto will particularly emphasize the development agenda for North Andhra and this time, the manifesto is expected to exceed the previous ‘Navaratnas’ with a new version called ‘Navaratnas 2.0’. Like the last elections, which focused on welfare for the poor, it is anticipated that this manifesto will also include promises targeting the middle class. However, there is still no clear information about welfare schemes. Answers to these questions are expected shortly. While it was initially thought that the manifesto would be released at the Siddham meetings, this did not happen. The manifesto is now scheduled to be released after CM Jagan files his nomination on the 25th of this month.

There are high political expectations surrounding the manifesto in the state. It is known that TDP announced welfare schemes under the name ‘Super Six’ at the last Mahanadu. However, people believe that the Congress manifestos in Karnataka and Telangana have turned out to be a mishmash. Political analysts suggest that the failure of Chandrababu to fulfil past promises is the reason for this perception. At this stage, there are high expectations for the YSRCP manifesto as well. Having implemented 99% of the promises made in the previous manifesto, Jagan has the opportunity to present even more comprehensive plans than the “Navaratnas” this time, according to YSRCP leaders. It is reported that this situation has caused concern among the coalition regarding the YSRCP manifesto.
