YSRCP Manifesto Unveiled: CM Jagan Announces Improvements to Existing Schemes

The YSRCP manifesto has been revealed. At the party’s central office in Tadepalli, YSRCP chief and Chief Minister YS Jagan unveiled the manifesto. By reviving the initiatives introduced in 2019 and allocating substantial funds to them, he has solidified his promises in the manifesto. Presently, the YSRCP government is implementing numerous welfare programs. With twelve crucial initiatives, they have shaped the manifesto. YS Jagan remarked that the historical implementation of promises over the past 58 months will be remembered. Despite challenges, CM Jagan said that they stood by the people with a smile, ensuring the execution of welfare schemes even during trying times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Key Points from the YSRCP Manifesto:

  1. Expansion of Welfare Programs: The manifesto emphasizes the expansion of existing schemes, including education, healthcare, agriculture, women empowerment, and social security.
  2. Pension Increase: Pension will be increased to Rs 3,500 in two phases.
  3. Continuation of Schemes: Initiatives like ‘Amma Vodi, ‘Jagananna Vidya Kanuka’, and ‘YSR Cheyutha’ for women will be continued.
  4. ‘YSR Cheyutha’ Scheme: This scheme will be extended by increasing the amount from Rs 75,000 to Rs. 1.5 lakhs, in eight instalments.
  5. ‘Amma Vodi’ Scheme: Support for mothers will be enhanced, with a commitment to give an additional Rs 2000 in ‘Amma Vodi’ for children’s maintenance, making it Rs 17,000 while an amount of Rs 15,000 will be given directly to mothers and pregnant women.
  6. Healthcare Expansion: The manifesto promises to expand healthcare coverage.
  7. ‘YSR Kapu Nestham’ Scheme: This scheme will be continued, with the financial assistance increasing from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand in four phases.
  8. EBC Nestham’ Increase: ‘EBC Nestham’ will be increased from Rs 45,000 to Rs 1,05,000 in four stages.
  9. ‘Vahana Mitra’ Scheme: The scheme will be extended to lorry and tipper drivers, offering accident insurance up to Rs 10 lakhs.
  10. YSR Kalyanamasthu and YSR Shaadi Tohfa: These schemes will be continued.
  11. Housing for All: The manifesto pledges to provide housing to eligible individuals without homes.
  12. Manifesto Priority: The manifesto promises to prioritize its implementation within five years.

During the release, CM Jagan said in his speech, “Manifesto, considered a sacred text, embodies the essence of promises made akin to the Bible, Quran, and Bhagavad Gita.” CM Jagan emphasized that the manifesto has been diligently implemented across government offices, reflecting the government’s commitment to the people. He underscored the historical significance of providing direct benefits totalling Rs 2.75 lakh crores. Despite scepticism, he asserted that 99% of the manifesto’s promises have been fulfilled, highlighting the trustworthiness of his political commitments and the consequential faith of voters.
