YSRCP’s Manifesto Today: Key Decision Expected for Farmer Families

As part of the campaign for the upcoming elections in AP, scheduled for May 13, the ruling party YSRCP has finalized its manifesto release. Today, at 11 AM, the party’s leader and Chief Minister, YS Jagan, is set to unveil the manifesto at the CM’s office in Tadepalli. The event will be low-key, with no grandeur, and will take place in the presence of senior party leaders. Following the success of the previously announced “Navaratnas” before the last elections, this time the party has crafted a manifesto dubbed “Navaratnas Plus”.

The manifesto, named ‘Navaratnas Plus’, is expected to contain several significant points. It will primarily address issues related to development and offer employment opportunities for farmers, women, and youth. Unlike traditional manifestos with multiple pages of promises, this manifesto will be concise, packed into a single folder. However, it is anticipated that the party will commit to continuing schemes that have significantly impacted numerous families in the state, aiming to maintain this momentum into the next term.

Additionally, there’s speculation that the manifesto may include provisions for providing marriage assistance akin to the “Kalyanamasthu” and “Shaadi Tohfa” schemes. It’s reported that CM Jagan is inclined to extend financial support for the marriages of girls from farmer families. There are discussions about providing financial aid of up to Rs. 50,000 for such marriages, mirroring the existing support offered for girls from SC, ST, BC, and minority families. It’s believed that this proposal will find its place in the manifesto, aligning with the broader agenda of empowering the state’s rural communities.
