Lucknow Clinches Victory Over RCB with Stellar Bowling Performance

Royal Challengers Bangalore faced their third consecutive defeat in IPL 2024. On Tuesday, they lost to Lucknow Super Giants by a margin of 28 runs. Batting first in the match, Lucknow scored 181 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Opener de Kock (81 runs off 56 balls; 8 fours, 5 sixes) and Pooran (40 not out off 21 balls; 1 four, 5 sixes) played impressively.

Within a span of three runs, three wickets

Chasing a target of 182 set by Lucknow, RCB went into bat but were bowled out for 153 in 19.4 overs, thanks to a splendid performance by Lucknow’s young fast bowler Mayank Yadav (3/14). Openers Kohli (22) and du Plessis (19) gave a good start. However, RCB quickly lost three wickets within a span of three runs. Kohli was dismissed by Manimaran, du Plessis was run out, and Maxwell was ducked out by Mayank Yadav. Following that, Green (9) was bowled by Mayank, leading RCB into trouble at 58/4. Nonetheless, Rajat Patidar (29; 21 balls, 2×4, 2×6) and Anuj Rawat (11 off 21 balls) showed some resistance.
