India Today Survey: Who will hold power in the Centre?

In the country, general elections are just a few days away. With the onset of elections, the political parties have intensified their campaign efforts. While the Election Commission is yet to issue official notifications, political parties are already engaged in fervent election preparations. The BJP-led NDA aims to win the upcoming elections, while the opposition India Alliance seeks to remove the BJP and Prime Minister Modi from power. In this scenario, India Today has unveiled the findings of the ‘Mood of the Nation 2024 Survey’.

The survey indicated that people’s sentiment aligns with the likelihood of the BJP-led NDA returning to power. According to the survey report, the BJP and its allies are particularly dominant in the northern states.

In Bihar, out of 40 seats, NDA is predicted to win 32, and the INDIA Alliance 8. In West Bengal, for 42 seats, NDA could win 19, Trinamool Congress 22. In Uttar Pradesh, with 80 seats, NDA might win 70, and INDIA Alliance 10. In Himachal Pradesh, out of 4 seats, BJP is expected to make a clean sweep. In Jammu and Kashmir, out of 5 seats, BJP could win 2, and INDIA Alliance 3. In Haryana, for 10 seats, BJP might win 8, Congress 2. In Punjab, for 13 seats, BJP could win 2, AAP 5, Congress 5, and NDA 1. In Uttarakhand, BJP is expected to sweep all 5 seats. In Jharkhand, out of 14 seats, BJP might win 12, and INDIA Alliance 2. In Assam, for 14 seats, BJP is predicted to win 12, and INDIA Alliance 2.
