PV Sindhu Gets A Place In Prestigious Forbes List

Indian badminton sensation PV Sindhu has earned a spot on the prestigious Forbes list of the top 20 highest-earning female athletes in 2023. Securing the 16th position alongside American gymnast Simone Biles, Sindhu boasts an impressive income of Rs 59 crores. Notably, she stands out as the sole female athlete from India to make it into the esteemed Forbes 2023 list. In comparison, Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek claimed the top spot with a staggering income of $23.9 million (approximately Rs. 199 crores).

Delving into Sindhu’s track record in the Forbes list over the past years, she held the 12th position last year and an impressive seventh position in 2018, amassing Rs. 70 crores. Despite her on-field performance this year, where her best showing was a runner-up finish at the Madrid Spain Masters, and reaching the semifinals in the Denmark Open and Arctic Open without clinching any trophies, Sindhu has continued to excel in her earnings.
