Varun Kumar: Police File Case Against Indian Star Athlete.

A POCSO case has been registered against Varun Kumar, Indian hockey player and Arjuna Award recipient. A young woman has filed a police complaint alleging that Varun Kumar has been sexually assaulting her for the past five years. The Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against him. The young woman accused him of deceiving her by promising marriage and filed a complaint against him.

He said he would marry her

She mentioned meeting Varun Kumar on Instagram in 2019. She stated that they used to meet when he visited Bangalore for matches. She alleges that she was subjected to harassment, believing that she was getting married at this time. She added that upon proposing marriage, he began to distance himself. She said her current age as 22 years in the complaint. The police informed that Varun is currently absconding, indicating that efforts are underway to bring him back.
