సుదీప్తో సేన్ దర్శకత్వం వహించిన ‘ది కేరళ స్టోరీ’ మూవీని విపుల్ అమృతలాల్ షా నిర్మించారు. అదా శర్మ, యోగితా బిహానీ, సిద్ధి ఇద్నాని, సోనియా బలానీ ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించారు. కేరళ రాష్ట్రంలో దాదాపు 32 వేలమంది అమ్మాయిలను బలవంతంగా మతం మార్పించి.. వారిని తీవ్రవాదులుగా ఎలా మార్చారనేది ఈ సినిమాలో చూపించాడు దర్శకుడు సుదీప్తో సేన్. విడుదలకు ముందు చాలా వివాదాలు తలెత్తిన సినిమాకు ఏకంగా రూ.200 కోట్లు కలెక్షన్స్ వచ్చాయి.
